Garvies Point Museum & Preserve

Our museum focuses on the geology and archaeology of New York and in particular Long Island. Exhibits highlight the geological formation of NY, and Native American culture on Long Island before European contact. We are part of the Nassau County Dept. of Parks, Recreation & Museums.

Archaeology - Native American artifacts from Long Island, NY

Programs:
Education programs and tours for schools. Children's Summer Workshops. Gallery tours. Film series. Guided nature walks. Lapidary, jewelry, and sculpture classes. Special events throughout the year.

Accessiblility:
Exhibits and restrooms are accessible - all exhibits are on one level.

Admission Details:
General Admission $2.00 adults, $1.00 children, under 4 yrs old free.
Education programs $45.00 per class plus $1.00 per child.
