Canton Historical Museum

12,000 sq. foot Historic museum located in an old factory building and focused on the history of Canton, CT, The Collins Axe Factory, and clothing, art and life in the Victorian era. We strive to share the history of our area and the development of industry in a rural community in the 19th century.

Collins Tools & Memorabilia,
Victorian Furnishings, Farm Equipment, Transportation, Trades, Musical instruments, Clothing, Firefighting, General Store, Blacksmithing, Barber Shop, Antique Toys, Music Boxes, Native American Artifacts, Print Shop, Recreation, Post Office and more.

Programs:
Guided tours given daily and by appointment.

Accessiblility:
Main Floor is wheelchair accessible. Upper and lower floors are not.

Additional Info:
The collection consists of over 4000 items representing life in a New England factory community during the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution.
